I think I know the answer to this question, but I thought I would ask anyway to make sure I’m not missing something. Is there a way to assign an action (to a button, generally) that automagically sends the user to the previous page (i.e. to wherever they came from to get to the current view)? I’ve got a prototype that’s got multiple routes to several pages, and I can’t find a good way to send users back to their starting point if they cancel out of an operation.
Not sure it would work for all situations, but maybe this will give you some ideas of how to implement it in your design.
But there’s not a ‘logic’ way to do it if that’s what you are asking for, similar to what Invision does of ‘back to previous screen’ action, I’m afraid.
