So… this might be an odd bird asking about ![]()
I’ve been a frequent user of Principle. Love it, it’s light weight, works flawlessly as expected, drawers is awesome and so is components and artboard interactions.
I’ve been a frequent user for the last couple of years but Principle has not been that software I’ve expected it to evolve in to; it still has a lot of quirks; you can’t use gradients for instance. It’s still all bitmaps, except the type and single rectangle (!) tool being used in Principle, which is sort of the only vector tools available. Even the font chooser looks like it’s from QuarkXpress or something. It does it work, ofc, but you can’t quick nav through fonts, it’s not bulked per font family, and so on.
I don’t understand this. Is Principle dead? Has the project went in to some deep limbo state or what’s going on? I would absolutely love to help out in any way I can here, since I do appreciate all the hard work behind Principle. It certainly have helped me anyway! But I’m getting nuts not being updated with at least one sign of life from the author(s) of the software, or just… anything? ![]()
Thanks!
