Horizontal scroll too sensitive?

Description of what you need help with: When I have a vertical scroll AND a horizontal scroll in the same element, it very frequently triggers the horizontal scroll when I’m trying to scroll vertically. It seems that in Principle prototypes (using the Mirror app), it somehow over-indexes on detecting a horizontal scroll, when compared to native iOS or Android, which seems to have a higher tolerance for horizontal scrolling.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a prototype with both a vertical and horizontal scroll interaction on the screen
  2. Try to swipe vertically. You may notice that oftentimes, when you’re trying to swipe vertically, you actually trigger the horizontal scroll unintentionally. I know some people may say the solution is UX in nature, and to not use horizontal and and vertical scrolling at the same time… but many apps do this and it hardly ever triggers these unintentional horizontal scrolls.
